At AfroLamps, we take pride in offering handcrafted lamps made with care, intention, and cultural richness. We stand behind the quality of our products and aim to ensure your complete satisfaction. If for any reason you’re not happy with your purchase, please review our return and refund terms below.


Eligibility for Returns

You may return your item(s) if:

  • The return request is made within 7 days of receiving your order.
  • The item is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
  • You provide proof of purchase (order number or receipt).

🚫 Items Not Eligible for Return

  • Custom-made or bespoke lamps (e.g. shades made from fabrics of your choice).
  • Items that have been used, altered, or damaged due to improper handling.
  • Items returned after the 7-day window.

🔁 Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Email support@afrolamps.co.za with your order number and reason for return.
  2. Wait for return confirmation and shipping instructions.
  3. Repackage the lamp securely in its original packaging.
  4. Ship to the return address provided in our response.

📦 Return shipping costs are your responsibility, unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.


💸 Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • You’ll be notified via email about the status of your refund.
  • If approved, your refund will be processed within 5–10 business days back to your original payment method.
  • We reserve the right to deduct any shipping fees or costs for damaged returns.

🔄 Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you want a different lamp, please initiate a return and place a new order.


🛠 Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or faulty:

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Email clear photos to support@afrolamps.co.za with your order number.
  • We’ll arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

ℹ️ Additional Notes

  • All lamps are handmade, so small variations in color, grain, or stitching are part of the charm and not considered defects.
  • AfroLamps reserves the right to reject returns that do not meet our criteria.
