All AfroLamps products are individually handcrafted, and as such, minor variations in:

• wood grain,

These variations are not considered defects but rather a testament to the authenticity and handmade nature of each piece.

2. Cultural Patterns & Interpretation

Our lamp shades are inspired by South African cultural aesthetics, including Ndebele, Venda, Tsonga, Xhosa, Setswana, and Afrikaner influences. While every effort is made to respectfully and accurately reflect traditional motifs:

• The patterns and colors may be artistically adapted for lamp suitability.
• Meanings and symbols may differ between regions or dialects.
• Cultures may be differently represented than what we portray

AfroLamps is committed to honoring these traditions, but we do not claim ethnographic authority.

3. Electrical Compatibility

Our lamps use as our standard E27 (Standard Edison Screw – this is widely used in Europe) and secondary the E14 (Small Edison Screw – widely used in South Africa) lamp holders, and are wired for standard South African voltage (220–240V AC).

• You use compatible bulbs (max 60W unless stated otherwise).
• The product is installed away from water or extreme heat sources.
• If used internationally, verify local voltage compatibility or use a certified converter.

AfroLamps will not be liable for damage or injury resulting from improper usage or electrical adaptation.
